On 9-10-05 SPDC Bn.372, column (1) led by Major Zaw Bo came and bully villagers at Khai Khan Village, Nam Ler circle, Lai Kha Twonship by driving more than 50 people from their homes into a cattle enclosure. Then SPDC troops went up to sleep on the houses ran sacking property and valuables. Not satisfied with the looting, they came down to beat up and slapped the villages. Some were hit with gun butts. During the night, Maj. Zaw Zaw Bo came down and tried to rape a girl, but she shouted for help. He escaped in the commotion. As dawn approaches, SPDC troops took chickens and pigs to their hearts desire and left. Only then can people return to their homes.
Also on 10-10-05 at about 10:00 am 50 SPDC troops from Bn. 544 column (2), led by Maj.Nyi Nyi Naing came out of wan Dat mauk village on their way to wan goun Pau, saw a group of villages working in the fields collecting peanuts. Working in the fields collecting peanuts. SPDC soldiers fired on the villagers for no apparent reason. Some villagers escaped, those caught were taken away. Where they go, SPDC used such tactics to intimidate the populace.
Date: 10.10.2005 SPDC force 544 under Maj. Aung Kyi Lin forced people to provide them with the following:- 1 Large Bamboos 50 nos. 2 Small Bamboos 20 nos. Cost of above K 60,000. Date: 11.10.2005 SPDC force 248 forced relocated 25 households because they lost two men and arms near Tone Long Yang village, Mong Nawng circle. They were also to compensate K 50/- million.
11.10.2005 ( 3: PM ) SPDC force 346 led by Maj Chit Tun Naing column 2, 5th company on a mission from Mak GoK village met three fisherman at Nawng Leng, east of Wan Sang village, Lai Kha Twonship. SPDC force fired on them killing one in spot. The other two were handcuffed and brought to Mak Kok village for several investigation about FSSA troops movement and beaten black and blue when Two villagers said they knew nothing. SPDC tortured them by pouring hot water at the back of them and fired their testicals,too. They were released later after all the villagers in the villages signed their names with no string condition.
Date: 27-09-2005 SPDC force 131 combined with tactical command No.2 from, Hum Ngai circle, Kehsi township, called together villagers from the surrounding villages and told them that if ISG forces fired at SPDC troops, they will fire rockets and mortars at their village. They also distribute leaflets to the effect that ISG forces should lay down their arms. Only by surrendering will there be peace. Unless they do so, there won�t be peace.
